Letter to Pope Francis "Lolo Kiko"
Dear Pope Francis,
The truth is I just found out about you and your acts of compassion when news broke that you will be visiting us. I know very little about you and I know very little of the greatness that you've shared to the world through simple deeds.
I wrote this letter to simply tell you that I am very thankful that you for visiting and, especially the fact that you cared to visit and know how we are doing after all the calamities that we went through.
Religion aside, you have set a very good example in walking with Christ and lived life like Christ. I am greatly moved by your greatness simply because your greatness exceeds all of the government leaders around the world. You have set an example of living simply, loving compassionately and doing passionately.
I have always wanted to tell you that I am happy that you do not condemn people whose beliefs are different from yours, you instead embrace them with jest and treat them as a brother.
Your visit made me realize that religion shouldn't divide us, as a community, a nation, a race but should bring us closer together since we all want to achieve the ultimate dream of being happy and at peace. A person is good when he does good and I will forever live by this.
I am also very thankful that you visited my brothers and sisters who were greatly affected by Typhoon Haiyan "Yolanda", that you have shared a part of your time to those who need to be reminded that God loves us and that even if we've faced great trials, only God knows the answer why we went through them and knows that we will survive.
Thank you so much for being an inspiration to my fellow Filipino and for being extremely awesome!
