Family of Cheats
I have always wondered about how some things, situations, people in your life, all those, seem to be sometimes not good enough. I think I'm starting to rant about religion and the values of life altogether because when they're linked together, it's advises are sometimes confusing.
School (based on religious teachings) have always taught us to be contended with what we have and be happy for the blessings which have been bestowed upon us, on the other hand, our experiences would teach us to never give up and always follow your dreams.
Do you see my point? It's a bit confusing too, trust me, I'm the one writing this but I still get confused if I'm actually getting the message right.
While browsing through my timeline I noticed the news from different sites about the political Binay family. I noticed that the news being tackled all involved the 3 immediate family members: dad, son, and daughter.
The father I must say has such academic and political achievements to back up his performance in government service. He had academic backgrounds in prestigious schools around the world, including Harvard University. After he passed the Bar exam he didn't just become a lawyer but a human right lawyer and he help out prisoners during the martial law. He was very active in campaigning for the human rights movement in the country that he was imprisoned. During the Aquino administration he was so active with his passion and beliefs to serve the country that he got an Outstanding Achievement Medal from Cory Aquino.
Now, he is being reprimanded and his family's accounts and assets have been frozen, because of corruption. Now I'll just put everything in simple words since I'm a simple person and so everyone can relate to what I'm blabbering about.
I can't imagine how this man who served the country with passion and wit end up in this situation. Well, now I could, because of Greed. The greed that has developed over time in his service inside the political world. His greed has consumed his one pure heart (well maybe it was pure at the beginning. lol).
I can't believe that his daughter won a senetorial seat without doing anything but tag along with her mom to work, unbelievable. His son, now the mayor of Makati City is such an asshole too, who thinks that no one can surpass his power that he stepped on security guards who were just ding their jobs because they wanted to go through a closed gate (such an idiot). The sister who was just there being shaded by one of the body guards, how cruel this family has been to those less fortunate.
I just want to continue off to when Yolanda struck that he actually took the time to have stickers printed and posted on relief goods for people to know that it came from him, well in fact it came from our neighboring countries who donated food and toiletries. He actually had hours to spend and had to hire volunteers to put his names on boxes and plastics wherein he could have saved those hours of unpacking, packing and sticking and had those transported directly to those who urgently needed them. How cruel is this family of greedy bastards to know nothing about those who have only P10 in their pockets to last them a day? These are the types of people who should never be in the government to serve it's people because he thinks he can get away with stealing the people's money. These people do not even have the guts to face critics and defend themselves live, without speech copies. They don't even have the guts to attend a debate to prove their point or even defend their pathetic decision.
Now the daughter just spoke that the Aquino administration just wants her father out of office because he is not aligned with the party of the administration. I just want to scream at her face and tell her that you're father is a greedy man and he stole billions of pesos from government funded projects that is why the administration wants him out!
I am developing a really strong hatred for these people, especially at his children who do now know anything about life and how hard it is for common Filipinos. They went to good schools which I know teaches value in hard work yet they do not practice what has been taught. Its saddening that these families have billions of pesos worth of assets to their names because they just sat there and cheated the Filipino people off their hard earned money.
I really just have mixed emotional feelings of the situation because I care for my countrymen, and I love them enough to say that they deserve something better in this world and that there is hope.
